Naked Gift Ideas for the Holiday Season
It’s that time of year again, folks. Whether it’s Santa, or a loved one, or whoever your preferred bearer of gifts, it seems this is the time to spread a little joy and abundance among those we love.
I both love and hate this season. I love it when I find the perfect gift. I hate it when I find myself trolling the overcrowded stores, searching for something that isn’t trite or just a gift for the sake of a gift. I’m a big fan of gifts of service – you …

Which is the more responsible option? Is there one? Should we skip the tree altogether or decorate a potted plant we nominate for the tasks of upholding Christmas cheer and standing guard over the presents?

Local, organic groceries right to your door
I tell anyone who will listen that I love everything about food: eating it, cooking it, growing it, healing the world with it. I have to stand corrected on this “everything”, though, as I realize there is one piece of it that I really don’t enjoy: grocery shopping.
In fact, I actually quite loathe grocery shopping. Ironic for someone as preoccupied with all things food, I know. But the fastest way to convert me from happy-go-lucky-foodie to grumpy-reluctant-whiner is to ask me to go grocery shopping. This has been the bane …
